The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 and the continued SA clusters have put us all in unchartered territory.
The recent clusters in Adelaide saw SA Health/SAPOL release a new Emergency Management Directive on the 19th November 2019 that increased the personal requirement from 2m2 to 4m2, banned all drinking and eating standing up (inside or outside) and prohibited all Indoor and Outdoor sports and ALL activities subject to COVID Management Plans, for a period of two weeks.
This has had a significant impact on planned club activities resulting in many events having to be cancelled.
The Management Committee have reviewed the planned activities between now and when the club recesses for 2020 (18th December 2020) and the current Directive.
As a result, they have made the difficult and unprecedented decision, to cancel all planned club activities for the remainder of the 2020 calendar year.
The decision was not taken lightly but given the uncertain times and the risk the current clusters present to not only club members and the community, the Management Committee has taken this decision to ensure we can regroup and launch into 2021 with a full and rewarding program.
