The Sporting Car Club Management Committee require non-attendance at any club events or club property by members/staff/competitors returning from overseas or from an area of Australia where they may have had contact with infected persons within the previous 14-day period – that includes any persons who have returned to Australia recently (i.e. up to 14 days ago – 28 Feb). Obviously similar action applies to members who are experiencing flu-like symptoms. Regarding events, we may need to cancel events as this progresses, but to do so today may be premature, but we will be constantly monitoring developments and will issue further updates as appropriate. Please be aware of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) advice for the public issued by the World Health Organisation:
Basic protective measures against the new coronavirus:
Stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority.
Take care of your health and protect others by doing the following:
Wash your hands frequently,
Maintain at least 1 metre (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
Covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze.
Avoid physical contact such as handshakes.
